I am a proud descendant of the Gundungurra peoples of south-eastern New South Wales and wish to honour all of the elders; the caretakers of this motherland who have taken part in the dreaming before us. Whilst, currently being an uninvited visitor residing and working on stolen Dharawal Country, I would like to acknowledge and pay my deepest respects to the Original Sovereigns of this land, the Wodi Wodi peoples. These lands have held safe space for connection for thousands of years, and have shared the wisdom and offerings of mother earth in her sacred healing practices. As we play and gather on this land, in the waters and under the skies may we be committed to holding all first nation babies and children; the future custodians, in the highest regard. May we celebrate the divine offerings of the land, protect the story-telling and endeavour to engage in ongoing practices of decolonisation.
